Guess what’s available finally?!

Where the Dust Still Glows!

I am very excited about it! The beta readers told me what wasn’t working. I fixed that and cleaned it up. I think it’s a really great book and it’s a story my soul needed to hear on many levels!

Dreamland is my all-time favorite location, and I’ve built a LOT of worlds. So, saying this is my favorite says a lot. It turned out to be a much different book than I’d originally intended because, I think, it became something more.

It became about discovery and purpose, and what it takes to be a real person, and what that even means.

And, I listened. It’s in KU for 90 days.

What do you need to know?

A bond you can be desperate about, rebuilt from scratch every time it's taken.

Yade doesn't remember Lixiss. Not the space they made, not the promises, not the shape of her hand. And every time, Lixiss goes back and starts again, not because she's owed anything, but because Yade is worth the work. No rescues. No one saving anyone. Two people choosing each other, over and over, with nothing carrying forward but the choosing.

Let’s see what this book is really about?

Apparently, I've spent a lot of time telling you how much I love Where the Dust Still Glows and considerably less time telling you what the damn book is about.

So let's fix that.

In this episode, I'm answering reader questions about my new Dream Lord Wars novel: what genre it actually is, how Dreamland works, who Lixiss and Yade are, why they're both very bad at doing what they were created to do, and how a science-fantasy story about artificial beings became deeply personal.

We get into AI and personhood, shifting identities, finding your purpose after the old one stops fitting, the strange physics of Dreamland, and why Yade's quiet plea to Lixiss—please exist with me—became one of the emotional hearts of this story.

If you've been seeing me talk about glowing dust and Dreamlanders and thinking, Frankie, what the hell is this book actually about?

This one's for you.

Where the Dust Still Glows, Book One of the Dream Lord Wars, is available now.

A woman who buried a version of herself to become someone who could survive, and the version that won't stay buried.

Dreyma left a piece of herself standing in a room she walked out of years ago, and told herself it was strength. She was right. She was also wrong. What she's built since is magnificent, and it is eating her, and she agreed to that, and some nights she'd agree again.
